The assistant uses information available in your installation, so it can answer questions about the home and its connected devices.
Hombee Free without a paid model
The basic AI assistant uses models built into a supported phone or browser. It does not require a subscription or a paid cloud model.
Advanced cloud models, speech-to-text and text-to-speech (STT/TTS), and an always-on AI agent connected to Home Assistant may require Hombee Pro because they create a real infrastructure or third-party service cost.
Check the state after an action
For a consequential action, check the confirmation and resulting device state in the app. A conversational response alone does not confirm that the change was completed.
