Hombee app and plugin terms of service
Terms for using the Hombee app and the Hombee plugin for ChatGPT and Codex. Updated on 2 October 2026.
Provider and scope
Hombee sp. z o.o., ul. Modrzewiowa 4, 55-095 Długołęka, Poland, KRS 0001113273, NIP 8961640851, provides the Hombee app at hombee.app and the Hombee plugin for ChatGPT and Codex. These terms cover access to that software and its connected-home functions. Separate agreements govern any purchase, installation or servicing of physical products. The privacy policy explains personal-data processing.
Accounts and authorised access
Use an account and installations that you are authorised to access. Keep sign-in credentials and tokens confidential and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. Household permissions determine which data and actions are available. You are responsible for granting appropriate access to other members and for personal data that you provide about them. Do not bypass permissions, interfere with the service, access another household’s data or use the service unlawfully.
Connected homes and AI actions
Connected-home functions require a supported Home Assistant installation, a working connection and the necessary permissions and device configuration. You can connect your own compatible installation; buying Hombee hardware is not a condition of using the software. The plugin can read home information and perform actions such as controlling lights or blinds, changing automations and managing access where your permissions allow it. Review the requested targets and changes before authorising an action, especially a deletion or permission change. AI responses and plans can contain errors; verify important results against device state. The service does not replace emergency, fire, medical or other certified safety systems. Demo data and simulated actions are identified as demonstrations and do not control a real installation.
Third-party services
Google, Apple, Home Assistant and OpenAI have their own terms and privacy practices for the services you use. Connecting the plugin authorises the OpenAI client to request Hombee tools within your granted scope and permissions. You can disconnect it in the OpenAI product. Availability also depends on the third-party service, your network and your installation. Hombee cannot guarantee that third-party systems will remain available or compatible.
Features, pricing and availability
Available features depend on your account, plan, permissions and installation. Any paid feature or subscription requires a separate offer showing its price and applicable purchase or cancellation terms before you order it. Connecting the plugin alone does not place an order for a paid subscription. We may update the software and temporarily interrupt access for maintenance, incident response or security. We do not promise uninterrupted service or a particular outcome from an AI response. This does not limit mandatory rights relating to the conformity of digital services.
Ending access and changes
You can stop using the service, disconnect the plugin or request account closure. Disconnection does not undo device changes, automations or data already sent to another service. We may restrict access when necessary to address unlawful use, a permission violation or a security incident, and will explain the reason where legally and technically possible. Material changes to these terms will be communicated before they apply; mandatory consumer rights and any separately agreed subscription terms remain applicable.
Complaints and consumer rights
Send support requests or complaints to hello@hombee.dev, describing the feature, problem and requested resolution without including passwords or access tokens. We respond to consumer complaints within 14 days where Polish law requires it. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law, including applicable rights to remedies for a non-conforming digital service or withdrawal from a distance contract. Consumers can seek assistance from a local consumer ombudsman or the Trade Inspection, and information about dispute resolution is available from UOKiK. Polish law applies, subject to the mandatory protection available to a consumer under the law of their habitual residence; these terms do not require consumers to use a court that overrides their statutory jurisdiction rights.
