Free yourself from thinking about bills for 30 years.

A woman with coffee is leaning against a white electric car that is being charged. In the foreground, a charging port with a plug is visible.

Remember that feeling when you nervously checked if all the lights were off when leaving the house? Or when turning on the air conditioning in the heat was associated with thinking about the bill? With Hombee Roof, this world ceases to exist. Your roof becomes an inexhaustible source of cheap, clean energy. Charge your car, start the dishwasher and air conditioning at the same time. Just live comfortably.

Membrane and Structure

A high-grammage, three-layer roof membrane with high vapor permeability and UV resistance. We always select a variant dedicated to the specific type of roof structure (e.g., for full boarding).

Additional Covering and Flashings

Non-energy-producing roof elements and all flashings are made of durable, thick aluminum (0.7 mm) instead of a standard, thin steel sheet.

Solar Cabling

Safe, double-insulated solar cables (1500 V DC), resistant to UV and ozone. For maximum protection against damage and rodents, the cables are run in an additional stainless steel braid.

FAQ

Design and Project Possibilities

Does the entire roof have to be covered with modules, or can they be combined with other materials?

Absolutely not. The system allows you to cover only a selected part of the roof with modules, e.g., the one with the best sun exposure. The remaining surfaces can be finished with another material (e.g., Prefa Prefalz or roof tiles), and the connection of both systems is carried out using dedicated, fully sealed, and aesthetic details.

Can I order a solar roof in a color other than the standard black?

Yes. In addition to the standard, elegant deep black finish, we offer the possibility of coloring the modules in almost any color from the RAL palette. This allows for a perfect match of the roof to the architectural vision and the building's facade, which is impossible with traditional panels.

Is every, even a complex roof shape, suitable for the installation of Hombee Roof?

The system is very flexible and designed for full integration with elements such as roof windows, chimneys, or hatches. It can handle most popular roof shapes. In the case of very complex, multi-pitched geometries, each project is analyzed individually by our engineers.

Technology and Performance

How does Hombee Roof differ from other solar roofs on the market?

Hombee Roof is a fully integrated premium system, not a collection of random components. Key differences include: EU production, a patented Swiss mounting system guaranteeing 100% tightness, the highest 5th class hail resistance, a 30-year product warranty, and higher efficiency thanks to the use of modern N-type cells.

How does the roof perform on cloudy days or in low light?

The roof also produces energy in diffuse light, not just in full sun. Thanks to the use of modern N-type silicon cells, which perform much better in various lighting conditions, the system achieves better results throughout the year compared to older P-type technologies.

What is the real power and efficiency of the roof per m²?

Thanks to the use of the latest technologies, the system's power is over 220 Wp/m². This is one of the highest parameters on the market. This means that you can produce more free energy from every square meter of the roof, which is crucial for limited roof areas.

Durability and Safety

How is 100% tightness and waterproofness of the roof ensured?

This is guaranteed by the patented, Swiss Solrif® mounting system. The photovoltaic modules, thanks to special frames, interlock and overlap exactly like traditional roof tiles. This creates a uniform, integrated, and fully waterproof roof covering, not just an overlay on the existing covering.

What is the roof's resistance to extreme weather conditions, such as hail?

Hombee Roof has the highest, 5th class hail resistance, which means certified resistance to impacts of hailstones with a diameter of up to 50 mm. This is a level of protection far exceeding standard roof coverings, such as ceramic tiles or sheet metal.

What is the fire resistance class of the system and is it safe?

The system has the highest fire resistance class BRoof(t1) and class A. In practice, this means that the roof is resistant to external fire, does not contribute to its spread, and is a safe covering for your home, which is crucial in dense development.

Investment and Financing

Is Hombee Roof more expensive than a regular roof with panels?

The total investment cost in Hombee Roof is comparable to the cost of building a high-standard roof (e.g., premium ceramic tiles) and purchasing a separate, high-class photovoltaic installation. In return, you get one aesthetically consistent 2-in-1 system with a longer warranty.

What is the expected return on investment period?

The payback period depends on many factors, such as the size of the installation, energy consumption in the home, or electricity prices. Currently, for a typical single-family house, taking into account subsidies, the estimated payback period is from 8 to 12 years.

Can I get a subsidy for the purchase of a solar roof?

Yes. From a legal and technical point of view, an integrated solar roof is a photovoltaic installation. Therefore, it is subject to the same subsidy programs as traditional panels, e.g., the "My Electricity" program or the thermomodernization relief.

Service and Warranty

What is the warranty for the entire roof system?

The system is covered by comprehensive protection. It includes a warranty for installation and tightness (i.e., a 5-year warranty) and long-term manufacturer warranties for key components. The most important of these is a 30-year product and performance warranty for photovoltaic modules.

What is the process of replacing a single, damaged module?

The mounting system allows for the replacement of a single module without the need to dismantle a large part of the roof. This is a standard operation, performed by our specialized service teams, which, depending on the location of the module, takes from 1 to 3 hours.

Does a solar roof require regular washing or maintenance?

The system is practically maintenance-free. The smooth surface of the glass has self-cleaning properties under the influence of rain. Intervention may be needed sporadically, e.g., to remove lingering leaves on very low-pitched roofs or in locations with high air pollution.
